How do pigment spots appear?

Pigmentation (hyperpigmentation) is the result of sun, skin inflammation, hormonal imbalances in the body, or other dermatological conditions. A rare man considers the brown spots in different parts of the body as an ornament. Worse still, sometimes they can even signal the onset of skin cancer. Hyperpigmentation can also occur due to a variety of chemicals (especially acids), daily inappropriate cosmetics, skin reactions to perfumes, skin diseases (eg acne, insect bite (especially after depression), inflammatory conditions) or hormonal fluctuations in the body. One of them passes by itself, while others are left or even clear. It is very individual.

Can pigment spots get rid of?

Based on scientific research, the Q-wave 1064nm and 532 nm Nd-YAG laser beam acts selectively on the skin pigment without damaging other skin structures, so the risk of adverse reactions is low. Even small doses of this laser beam cause melanosome damage and break down the melanin granules, which are then removed by the body. Currently we offer the most modern solution to overcome hyperpigmentation in the clinic - treatment with the German manufacturer "Asclepion" laser - "STUDIO".

How does Laser Laser Pigment Removal Work?

The laser nozzle is directed to the desired treatment site and the pulsed light emitted by it splits the pigment into fine particles. The patient's lymphatic system removes pigment residues from the body.

The procedure is short, painless and does not leave scars. Immediately after the procedure, the treated skin will be whitish-gray. This is perfectly normal:

Studio Laser Advantages:

- Thanks to the advanced OPTIBEAM® technology, the laser beam is evenly distributed. This prevents the skin around the pigmented patch from being affected.

- The pulses of the Q-wave of the STUDIO laser are short (only 6 nanoseconds) and powerful, so the total duration of treatment of unwanted pigmentation is reduced to 20% compared to other Q-wave lasers.

Is this procedure painful?

The threshold for each person's pain is individual, making it difficult to answer unambiguously. Patients claim that they feel mild tingling during the procedure, feeling a "small needle". If necessary, the site to be treated can be anesthetized with topical, topical analgesic ointment.

How many procedures may be needed to get rid of unwanted pigment spots?

The removal of pigment spots and the number of procedures depends on the type of pigment stain, the duration of the problem, and other factors. Usually 2-3 procedures are enough, but in some cases it may be necessary for 8 or more (especially for treatment of melasma). The recommended interval between treatment sessions is 3 to 4 weeks. For better results, ultraviolet rays should be avoided for a few weeks after the procedure. For optimum results in the shortest time, your doctor may recommend additional anti-pigmenting measures (special creams or procedures) after evaluating your skin problem before and / or after the procedure.

What special preparation is needed before the procedure?

Avoid ultraviolet light (sun, solarium, phototherapy) for at least two months before the procedure to protect the surrounding skin.

After treatment:

The removal of pigment spots (especially melasma) can activate skin pigmentation and blemishes after the procedure but flashes after a few days.
If scabs are formed, it is recommended not to touch them (they will fall off).
Avoid direct sunlight and do not visit the solarium. Use sunscreen (SPF 25 or more) if you need to spend some time outdoors.
If you notice skin irritation or other skin reactions that are not mentioned here, first contact your doctor!

Contraindications to the procedure (when this cannot be done):

Taking medicines that increase light sensitivity;
Using systemic retinoids (isotretinoin, acitretin);
In the case of cancer or pre-cancerous condition in the desired treatment locally;
Injury herpes simplex infection at the site of the procedure;
Prone to keloid scarring;
During pregnancy or lactation;
In epilepsy (can trigger an attack);
In the wound of the desired treatment locally;
After sunbathing the skin to be treated locally;
Taking anticoagulants.

Possible side effects or complications:

Depending on the size of the lesion, a reddening of the skin, swelling and / or sensation of heat may be seen at the site of the treatment after treatment.
The pigment spot is often followed by a scab after the procedure, which in a few days is removed by itself
When the scab has fallen, the skin at the site of the procedure may be brighter than the surrounding skin that is not affected by the laser, but within a few weeks, the skin color becomes uniform
In extremely rare cases, scarring or skin involvement may occur at the site of the procedure.
